Local UFO Sighting Interview!

For our fourth video installment we were able to interview a local man about something he recently saw at night. Here's the video, followed by some thoughts.

Was it a UFO? Weather balloon? And who are the guys that spoke to him before we did? That's just creepy, but makes us think something more is going on. Whether that's aliens or some kind of military test, or something else is impossible to tell. What we can say for sure is that what he described sounded nothing like a weather balloon, what he drew looks nothing like a weather balloon...and weather balloons don't tend to move, stand still, then zip off. Even if it's really windy. But his doubt about this being a UFO is great because it makes him a more reliable witness. So we see this interview as a HUGE score. And the results have us thinking.

There have been a good number of sightings in the area, some we've heard about from friends, some reported to MUFON and some in the papers. These in conjunction with our first landing site and now this sighting got us looking at maps to see if there is any kind of pattern (time, date, location). And we found something!

We're keeping the details to ourselves for now, but are posting the date and time to watch the skies. It sounds a little crazy, but if we're right it will be a huge break through. So watch the skies with us next Thursday night, 10/30/2008 from 8pm - 3am ---yes, the night before Halloween. Spooky!

Awesome News!

We received a tip through a friend (trustworthy this time) and it is leading to an interview with a local guy who saw...something. I guess he wasn't 100% sure what he saw, but it was unusual and he's willing to talk to us later today. Even offered to have us for dinner. No matter what the outcome of the interview, we'll post the results, as usual, on youtube. So wish us luck! Checking out a crop circle or landing site is one thing...interviewing a person is something else...and a little nerve wracking. We'll do our best, though.

Blog Updated!

Thanks to the suggestion of giantsfan21 in a comment we have added a widget so folks can see, and buy, the books we are using for research. Well, most of them are for research. Two are novels. Greys by Whitley Strieber is a novel about aliens from an author who used to write non-fiction books about aliens. Antarktos Rising is a novel by Jeremy Robinson that was ranked #1 in the crop circle category on Amazon. Now that we have it, we're thinking "Huh? Crop circle category?" Regardless, it looks like a pretty good book. Willem wants to take a crack at it soon. We'll see.

But enjoy the widget! We'll try to update it if we add any more books to our collection.

Crop Circle Investigation Result

So we investigated the tip left in yesterdays blog. We were hopeful because the source was a local who e-mailed us directions to find this thing. When we found the circle, it was in a very wet, swampy area filled with tall reeds, some of which were bent under the weight of yesterday's rain. Still, the circle was clear, our hopes were up and our feet were very wet. But not everything, make that nothing, turned out as we had hoped. Check out the video for the results.

So there you have it. A prank. Hopefully the last we'll encounter. This experience has made us question last weeks potential landing site, but at that point no one knew we were doing this and the location was random. So we're not sure how someone could have pranked us on purpose. But we will certainly not get our hopes up too high in the future... After all, we're supposed to be objective! This was a good lesson to remind us why that is important.

Photos from the "UFO Landing Site"

Okay, before we get to the photos, I would first like to point out that we were vindicated in our assessment of the "federation of light" mother ship visiting Earth on October 14th. This is what, the third day of said visit and we have yet to see a 2000 mile mothership hovering overhead...unless the aliens thought to paint it blue. :)

Now that that is out of the way, lets take a peek at some of the photos from what appeared to be a landing site. Though we have photo and video proof, along with physical evidence in the form of ash and weird metallic spheres found at the scene, we cannot conclusively claim that this was, in fact, created by a UFO. So we leave it to you to decide what you think. We'll continue our investigations and try to remain objective.

We have yet to find something to investigate this week, but we are scouring the papers, watching the news and asking around locally to see if anyone has seen something worth our attention. All that said, here are the pics!

This is our best pic of the site as a whole. You can see the circle, the ash in the middle and you can just make out the three circles within the circle we talked about in video #2. We've compared this photo to several others taken by people who claim their circles were made by UFOs. They're remarkably similar.

Here's a photo of the ash at the center of the circle. If you look closely you can also see the black metallic spheres. The spheres covered the whole site, but are easier to see against the gray ash.

Here is Jeff collecting some of the spheres. We used plastic tweezers to pick them up so as not to contaminate them...but man, did it make grabbing the little things hard. We should invest in rubber gloves!

And finally, here is our best close up of the spheres. This one almost looks translucent. Again, they were scattered throughout the site. We hope to get them tested, but aren't sure where to do that...nor are we certain we want to let them out of our sight. So we'll see what happens.

So, hopefully we'll find something to investigate and film for tomorrows youtube.com video update! Either way, we'll deliver a video update on our findings!

Day 2 - Potential UFO Landing Site!

Here's our latest (second) installment. Strangely, we had results on our first outing. It "appears" to be a UFO landing site and matches several descriptions we've read and photos we've seen. It's an exciting find and has us geared up to investigate some of the other sightings in our area. All that said, despite our initial assessment of the scene, we're not pros and maybe we missed something.

Someone very quickly replied to our youtube post saying what we had found was a hoax. Maybe so, but it would be very elaborate and since no one knew we were heading that way, it would have been a very random thing to do. Of course, there is no true evidence that, even if this isn't a hoax, that it was created by a UFO. It appeared that way. But without witnessing the creation first hand, we're slow to point fingers...up. As we strive to be good UFO researchers we need to remember to be skeptical and unbias.

Overall, we consider this a wonderful first day and look forward to what the future brings. If we find out anything more about the ash we found, or the weird metal spheres, we'll post about them here.

Until then, watch the skies! And if you see something in your area, let us know about it! We'll come check it out.

First Video Post!

Good day fellow UFO enthusiasts!

Tomorrow we will be posting our first video blog! It will just be an intro, nothing big, but it will confirm that everything is working correctly, you will get to meet us, and we will show you some of the materials and resources at our disposal. We hope you're just as excited as we are to find results! See you tomorrow!
